“We spent three years building the boring half of this. Thursday is the first time anyone outside the company sees it work.”
Dana Villamor, Chief Executive
Before you come
Ninety seconds on what Northlight is
Watch it beforehand and the keynote will make considerably more sense. There is no pre-reading beyond this.

Run of show
Six to ten, and it starts on time
The keynote begins at seven exactly. Doors close for it and reopen at the panel, so anyone arriving late is asked to wait in the foyer rather than cross the room.

Where
Grand Ballroom, Shangri-La The Fort
Grand Ballroom, third level. The building runs a strict single-entry policy after seven, so leaving to take a call means the foyer rather than the street.
Grand Ballroom, Shangri-La The Fort, 30th Street corner 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
Parking
Basement levels 2 to 4, validated at the registration desk. Bring your ticket up.
Rooms
Held under Meridian Systems at the corporate rate until 10 October.
Access
Level entry throughout, lift from the lobby to the third floor.
On stage
Who you will hear from
Twenty minutes of panel, and the questions are unscreened. Submit one at the desk if you would rather not raise a hand.
Keynote and demonstration
- Dana Villamor, Chief Executive
- Arvin Peña, Head of Engineering
The panel
- Grace Tiu, Operations Director, Verde Logistics
- Marco Alvarez, CTO, Baybank
- Dr. Ines Rodrigo, Philippine Institute of Health Data
- Moderated by Rina Salvador
Dress code
Business formal
Not black tie. A dark suit or an equivalent is right; the room is photographed and the photographs are used, so the code is enforced at the desk more politely than firmly.
- Midnight1b2436
- Graphite3b4250
- Brassc9a45c
- Bonee8e3d6
The ballroom is held at 21 degrees for the equipment, which is colder than it sounds by the third hour.
Practical
Before Thursday
Your badge
Printed from your RSVP and collected at the desk by surname. It carries your dinner table number, so do not swap it with a colleague.
Press
Accredited media enter through the second-level foyer from 5:30. The embargo lifts when the keynote starts, not before.
Recording
Photography is welcome throughout. The demonstration segment is not to be filmed; there is a broadcast-quality cut released the same night.
Substitutions
If you cannot come, a colleague may take your place. Send the name by 30 October so the badge and the seating are right.
RSVP
Confirm your attendance
By 24 October. The room seats two hundred and it is expected to fill, so an unconfirmed place is released a week out.

Questions, and notes from the room
Post a question for the panel before the night, or a note afterwards. Moderated, and the good questions get asked on stage.

We have been running the pilot in three warehouses since March. Ask me the hard questions on the night; I will answer them.
Marco Alvarez

The question I want asked is what happens when it fails. Nobody ever demos that.

Three years, and we filmed the room the night the build finally went green.

Bringing two of my registrars. If any of you are working on health data, find us at the reception.

Anything you post here is available to everyone at full resolution the following morning, cleared for use.
If you can only make part of it
Come for the keynote and the demonstration and leave before dinner if you must — tell us in the RSVP and we will not hold a seat you are not using. Nobody will notice you go.
